Embassy Suites by Hilton Oahu Kapolei

Fairly good hotel. Staff were friendly and rooms were clean. Good room layout. Breakfast was standard hotel fare. Pool was lovely. There were lots of families, so I would assume it is kid friendly. Cons: -in a suburb, so you need a car to get around -bathrooms could use a bit more upkeep and definitely need more hooks for towels! There were only 2 hooks—not enough for 4 people -the walls and doors are not soundproof, so you can easily hear when people walk past your room or when kids run down the hall Overall, I’d return.

I'll attempt to write in an unbaised manner. Rooms: I'm in an "non premium" double "non suite", which is spacious enough to fit my two toddlers, myself, as well as our nanny - with two double beds, and a pull out sofa bed with a partition and its own desk/work station, chair, and television. The bathroom is also well kept, cleanly, and smells fresh! I've had to call maintenance several times due to sink issues, air conditioning was not working (4 days), and I've forgotten the last reason. I'm here for government work, and have requested times when I'll be out of the room [to be serviced], and I'm still adjusting to the time difference but the moment I get back and fall asleep... "house keeping". I've called the front desk more times than I'm shamed to admit, and I'm truly not that guy. I've slept in the field for days with zero complaints.. other then my back - as I may be getting older then I've thought ha. Service: Breakfast & Dinner has yet to disappoint, and the staff in the dining facilities go above and beyond to make you smile, feel comfortable, and enjoy the ambiance. It's unfortunate this level of quality service hasn't extended to the front desk. Although there are only a few front desk personnel who have shown a level of passivity, as if it's not obviously seen or known. Note there is no dining options between 9:30am-5:30pm, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby and doordash is alive and well. Also note, if you're a diamond member this hotel doesn't take this into consideration to much. You'll need up upgrade rooms or buy a "premier package" to get a "tray refill" on the snacks in your rooms. Which I assumed were included since there's no dining options midday, or in other Hilton, or Hilton establishments, are included with Diamond membership. Walkability: Whether you have a big multi-kid family with several jogging strollers or one child, the area is incredibly safe and anxiety free to walk with your kids! One huge thing I've noticed, cars will stop and wait for you to clear the road if you're even at the sidewalk. This is a huge reason I'm considering looking at apartments in this area, as when you head closer to Honolulu cars will not stop or slow down and your parental anxiety levels will be Location: I'll be on island for 11-12mos, and just arrived. The island is absolutely stunningly gorgeous and I just witnessed a sunset in Aiea HI that put some of the most mind-blowing scenes to shame. Id say, the Location is based on personal preference, why you're here (business v pleasure), and what you're looking to get out of your trip. If you want that "[jersey] shore" feel where you are waking up to the scent, sound, and feel of the beach with all the tourist attractions; the location of this facility is not what you're looking for. If you'd like the suburban feels of peace, tranquility, safety & security [especially with young[er] kids], less hustle & bustle, a bit warmer & less touristy crowd, and a little less quality service, less fancy restaurants, and 'less access' to the beach (not to say you can't get to the beach, you absolutely can. It's just a drive/uber away, rather walking from your hotel room); this is the place for you. Personally, I enjoy the location, as it's away from the chaos of "the city" feel - nothing against the city feel, I've done Manhattan, Brooklyn, Philadelphia for undergrad & grad, and even DC for a stent - but I'm a [by]product of my environment and there's something about soaking up "the city" energy, but returning to tranquility, calm, and simplicity.... Overall: I'll likely update this a few times, as I'll be here for a while, but overall not a bad facility whatsoever. Service can be improved, rooms may need some updates, shouldn't have to argue with the front desk personnel over government rates/tax exempt status and snack delivery - after traveling 32 hours... but you will absolutely enjoy your stay, you'll enjoy the island, and you'll create wonderful memories! One of the best hotels I've stayed at. Quick service to. Our fridge wasn't working properly. No sooner than a few minutes later, it was replaced. Everyone made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible They also have a phenomenal breakfast selection, made to order omelets were superb. Richard is the best! Everyone treated us with Aloha.. Mahalo!

I'm in complete awe. The staff is very friendly. BUT the location is not great. You definitely need a car to get around. The views..well if you like to look at another set of buildings or some trees then I suggest going elsewhere. The pool is kind of a joke. The beds just about killed me and my boyfriend. I didn't have back pain until my stay there. The restaurant was nice. They have free breakfast which is one thing going for the hotel. I can't really say much more positive up's than downs. I thought since it was a Hilton I'd get more out of it but we really didn't.

Shanelle at the Front Desk had excellent service. Greg the bartender at the nightly reception also had excellent service. The hotel is very nice. I was able to check in to my room 2 hrs early. Toilet had dried up urine going down the bowl of the toilet. I alerted Housekeeping and they promptly came up and re cleaned the toilet. The room was comfy and clean besides the batbroom. No one had swept under the vanity or on the sides of it so i could see dust and things uder the vanity as well on the sides. I took a lysol wipe and got on my kness and wiped the floor on the side of the vanity and the wipe was covered in dirt. So i do think housekeeping needs to pay a little bit more attention to detail. Besides those small things hotel was amazing!If you are going to hotel for the pool make sure to call the FD to verify the pool is operational. Pool was out of order the first night of our stay. This is the best smelling hotel i have stayed at they do use diffusers to influence the smell which is amazing so would most likely stay at thia hotel again. :)

Embassy Suites in Kapolei, Oahu, HI is located in a quiet neighborhood with convenient, ample parking and within walking distance to a grocery store and several restaurants. From the moment we arrived in September, 2023, we learned the true meaning of “Aloha!” Every member of the hotel staff was welcoming and very helpful. Our room was spotless, very comfortable and well furnished for us to unpack a week’s worth of clothing. The daily complimentary Happy Hour offered several types of mixed drinks and beers on tap which we frequently enjoyed on their outside patio. The pool was small, but had a waterfall and a hot tub attached. In the morning, no “Continental Breakfast” here! A free full made-to-order breakfast at their Omelet Bar along with other hot breakfast items, fresh fruit, cereals and pastries was a real hit and a great start each day. We had a very enjoyable stay here and give Embassy Suites, Kapolei our highest recommendation.
